Heavy-Duty Foundations
The Field Shelter is secured to the ground using ArmourGuard steel screw anchors, which provide 4 anchor points up to 0.5m into the ground without the need for concrete or excessive digging. If you wish to shift your shelter, unwind the augers and relocate in a new postition.


Net Gable End
A heavy-duty netted gable end panel which simply clips on to the end arch prior to the main cover being fitted. Made from a heavy-duty, green monofilament netting (300gsm) and supplied with 15 zinc-plated 'Omega' spring clips. Acts as a windbreak and prevents the ingress of rain.It gives 70% wind reduction and has a 75% shade value. Additional strength can be obtained by securing the bottom edge to a timber base rail using wood laths (not supplied). The net is supplied as a 4m x 5m piece of netting which is trimmed-off to the shape of the hoop after being clipped in position. Low cost, effective and simple to attach.

Strong in Adverse Weather Condtions
Our field shelter is made from 50mm diameter steel hoops, with 32mm bracing bars and a heavy-duty, 100% waterproof, flame retardant PVC coated fabric with a 5 year UV protection guarantee. The framework is made from ArmourGuard Steel, which has been scientifically tested to withstand severe weather conditions without suffering the effects of corrosion. ArmourGuard® is designed not just to survive in the most hostile environments, but also to offer extreme longevity. In exhaustive tests carried out by Rotech Laboratories, one of the UKs leading test houses, ArmourGuard® endured the equivalent of 100 years™ exposure to the harshest elements without undue deterioration.

Setting a new standard, ArmourGuard® is Northern Polytunnels' corrosion-resistant high-endurance coated steel tube. Up to 20 times the corrosion resistance of pre-galvanised steel tube thanks to its revolutionary combined zinc, aluminium and magnesium coating, ArmourGuard®.

With unique ArmourGuard® weld repair, 100% exterior and interior protection is guaranteed. This, together with ArmourGuard®'s tough scratch-resistant surface, offers extreme product longevity.

The images above show the effect of 3,000 hours of salt spray testing on three steel tubes. This represents the equivalent of 100 years. The corrosion resistance of ArmourGuard® is due to the dense protective layer formed on the outer and inner surfaces of the tube, in contrast to the porous surface of galvanised tube.
